Title: Commonplace Book 3
Bibliographic Citation: [Commonplace book 3]. From the private collection of Prof. Jason Camlot
Notes: In this commonplace book, the owner or contributor has copied Christina Rossetti’s poem “Dream Land.” This poem was included in the first edition of Goblin Market and Other Poems (1862). The copyist’s decision to lay out the poem in two columns mirrors printing practices common in literary anthologies of the time, suggesting that the poem might have been copied from an anthology rather than the standard editions of Rossetti’s works, which tend to print the poem in a single column.
