Notes: This literary journal contained articles and advice on how to build a collection of rare antique books. Advertisements at the end of each edition notified readers of various estate sales and auctions where they could compete to acquire valuable volumes. A description of the woodblock print on the left is found in a section within the volume on the history of early printing and bookbinding. As mechanization rapidly increased the availability of cheap printed material, antiquarians became increasingly covetous of rare and early print material.
